A note about these images; Emil took these images at the 1946 National Air Races and in the years after. This film remained unprocessed until Gerald Liang, a current aviation/air race photographer, found the film in Emil's garage after he passed away. In 1998, Gerald carefully processed the film and - to everybody's surprise - found the images you see here, and many more. Unfortunately, the film had been damaged by the changes in temperature and humidity over the years, but as you will see, they are still able to give fans and historians a glimpse to the past glory of the pylons. These photos are not re-touched or manipulated beyond normal contrast and sharpening.
Warbird Aero Press is extremely please to be able to share these images with you.
